BTS ARMY Doc Gets Theatrical Release

“There is no BTS without ARMY and no ARMY without BTS. We’re excited for audiences to go on an emotional journey and meet a fandom that made us laugh, cry, and think. We were constantly moved by the fans’ power, resilience, creativity and humor and hope audiences will be too” stated by Grace Lee and Patty Ahn, co-directors of Forever We Are Young.

Described as made by ARMY for ARMY, the documentary promises to focus on the fans and celebrates their connection to the group through belonging, identity, and self-love. Forever We Are Young will offer “an unprecedented look at the deep emotional connection between the band and their fans through the lens of personal stories, global fan movements, and unforgettable concert memories.”

The documentary had its world premiere at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival to standing ovations from sold out audiences. The film will continue to make the film circuit rounds before opening theatrically worldwide on July 30.

Forever We Are Young is directed by Grace Lee and Patty Ahn and is produced by Eurie Chung, Grace Lee, Nora Chute, Patty Ahn. The film is executive produced by Oscar winner Morgan Neville, Caitrin Rogers, and James Shin. The film is edited by Oscar Vazquez and Aldo Velasco with cinematography by Jerry Henry and original music by Andrew Orkin.

Tickets for the limited theatrical release go on sale beginning Wednesday, July 2 at www.btsarmymovie.com. Fans and audiences worldwide can visit the website for more information and sign up for updates. Select cinemas will offer film branded concessions and official movie posters will be available on the website.
